反間者因其敵間而用之
Sun Tzu
Sun Tzu emphasizes the value of using spies to gather information about the enemy’s plans and movements, and then “converting” these spies, or turning them to work for your own side, in order to gain an advantage over the enemy. In other words, the quote suggests that it is important to use every means at your disposal, including espionage and manipulation, to gain an advantage in war.
Having converted sources, getting hold of the competitors' sources and using them for our own purposes.
Identifying and converting a competitor’s sources can provide a business with valuable insights into their competitor’s operations and strategies. This can help the business to better understand their competitor’s strengths and weaknesses, and to develop strategies to effectively compete with them. In addition, by converting these sources, a business can potentially gain access to inside information about their competitor’s plans and activities. This information can be used to make informed decisions about the business’s own operations and strategies.
In addition to gaining insights into a competitor’s operations, a business can also use converted source to feed mis-information to the competitor. For example, a business could spread false information about a potential new product launch or marketing campaign in order to coax their competitor into making poor decisions. However, it is important to note that spreading mis-information can be unethical and may damage the reputation of the business if discovered.
